Thanks to the efforts of the JK and PK classes at USM a new garden has been added next to the pre primary play ground. It has an awesome white fence and has been cleared of weeds by roto-tilling. Thanks go out to all the PK and JK teachers for adding this green space to the USM campus and to add gardening to their curriculum.
There are two composting bins located in the garden, which will soon be put into action to make fertile soil. Fall projects include weed control with card board and plastic and possibly planting a fall crop of garlic!
Way to go Pre Primary! Karen's Garden and "The Patch" are happy to have another green space to grow food
